My first pair of "Nike" ! ♥

Sunday, August 31, 2014

My first ever shiny pair of Nike!! Look at the box and the glowing sign! Eeeks! LOL! I guess, everybody always wanted to own a pair of Nike in their lifetime. I used adidas before this and I have to say, those were quite a faithful pair, but the trend got to me too and I was dying to get my hands on one of these. So, after trying different brands, moving several showrooms, I finally ended up with "My Nike Pair" ♥

Because whenever you hear the phrase "Just Do It", you always think Nike! xD

Here's my baby ♥
 It's magenta, white and grey!
It's the Nike Transform V. I was planning to start running sometime soon and this baby gives me teh green light, also bought a few pairs of socks cause, you know why. :P I've been eating a little cleaner, recovering from my binge downfall and today, I ate 100% clean. Feeling more motivated. Gonna try my best and get back on track. ;)

When is knowing too much harmful?

Thursday, August 21, 2014

On your journey to get fit, the ride uphill is hard but the fall downhill is unbearable, in my case, I feel helpless, powerless, and it is crashing down with no hints of slowing down, let alone stopping.

So, winter of 2013, I decided to change my lifestyle. I decided to go ahead and try a take on a fit life. The journey was hard but the results were so worth it if not more. In 3 months I lost 7 kgs and I was oh-so-proud of myself. The changes were undeniable and the compliments about my self-control and progress probably got into my head because, right after that, one fine day, I lost it all, all my self control, motivation and since the last 4-5 months, I started binge eating and my lifestyle went downhill. Everyday I wake up determined and a little sad for all the hard work I spoiled and every single day, i go to bed disappointed.

But, my point is. I never had binge eating disorder before. How did it just develop? I did control my calories but I never starved myself. My doubt is, I read a lot about binge eating Disorder (BED) while researching for  a healthy lifestyle and probably because I kept coming across it, I read about it, researched it, it somehow got into. I know this sounds absolutely crazy but have you ever had times when you thought "I'm never gonna have to go through that" or "I'll never like that" or "I have never been one of them" but later, you find yourself in THAT most unexpected situations. When knowing too much about an absolutely oblivious topic later results in you facing it yourself. I'm no psychology pro but this is something I've noticed through out my life and it's something that I've been pondering hard about since the last few months. Maybe this is not possible but maybe, I am sharing this because I might not be the only one. You know, being affected by something so not obvious. What if I never knew what BED was? I would never have the idea it existed. That this was possible. I might have never developed it. I know two very close people who completed their weight loss journey and are living a healthy life. None of them knows what BED is. Until I told one of them about this. Then why me? Is it my fault that I know too much? That I was taking precautions?

Nevermind, till I get back on track to the bright and healthy me 5 months back and is a plate full of sweet fritters that I am finishing off in the kitchen so nobody catches me binging.

Guilt Free Dessert for Breakfast !

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

So, I started off today with a fruit platter and THIS! So easy (I couldn't find a word to mean easier than easy so I had to settle for "easy"). Know that I am a big fan of cereal, oats and bread and a MAJOR FRUITARIAN ! So, being a glutton, I had to eat my flakes and oats and no milk! (not a vegan but wasn't in the mood) so, I tried this alternative and BAZINGA! I'm in love! xD

It's really simple, to watch your portions, use half of your regular serving of cornflakes and rolled oats and eat it with a big dollop (I love the word "DOLLOP", the word itself sounds so yum and satisfying :P) of One-Ingredient Banana Ice-Cream, you can add a drizzle of honey or syrup or maybe jam but I prefer it simple and clean and since the banana is already sweet, I don not usually recommend the extra sugar. And there you have it! Crunch and Slurp! Omg! I think I should name this Crunch and Slurp! :P

***TIP** Try a little sprinkling of instant coffee for the extra aroma

A day to thank women for making the world go round. ♥

Saturday, March 08, 2014

Because without women, there would be no Christopher Columbus and literally no sphere earth and men would simply fall off the earth's surface if they went too far. I mean, I am literally correct, ain't I ? Okay, sucky try but honestly, it's time of the year again when every wife, sister, daughter, grandma,(read women)teacher, preacher, police, officer and the list goes on should feel proud of their form and their gift of being a women. We do so much, are so selfless, yet get appreciated so little. I think it's the day you should wish every women around you (since only a women can understand a women and truly appreciate her) and I bet it'll be a long task since we are surrounded with women who are helping us in a way or another by just existing. So, better get started and so, I won't be taking much of you time and leave you to your task at hand.

Oh! and before I go, I wish you (Yes! I am 99% sure you are a woman reading this) Happy Women's Day. Be Proud and Be Strong and Carry On. Thank you, for giving me your precious time just so I can find inspiration to write on. ♥

Jazz Up to Dress Up!

Thursday, March 06, 2014

Tomorrow is my grandparent's golden anniversary, Yes! 5-0 years!! So, the family will be throwing a secret party for them, ssshhh! My grandmom being really restless is worried since we didn't tell her anything or have forbidden her to throw any party. So, I'm planning to wear a very nude outfit with similar shoes and I'm not in any mood to dress down for a golden jubilee, so, I decided to go a little crazy with my nails. Bad news, school's opening soon so I had to chop them off. :(

This nail paint was gifted to me by my sister, actually I inherited it, since she didn't want it. It was to fabulous for her to rock. *evil grin* So, this is the first time I'm trying this out. Hope it's not a fail. It kind of reminds me of a witch's aura for some reason I don't know why :P probably the green and the bottle, in reality is actually like a potion bottle. Ok! Tell me it's just in my head. :P

DIY

DIY : Lyric Art

Sunday, March 02, 2014

So, Alicia Keys's "Girl On Fire" has been running through my mind for a long time now, and I was planning to get a lyric art done so, I was tapping my pen on the table top one fine day and Viola! this occurred to me! LOL. Okay, a little dramatic there. Anyway, this DIY is really easy and a little unusual and VERY affordable.

This is how it's gonna look like after it's done if not better. Trust me, patience is not one of my virtue so I just do everything in a rush! :P

Firstly, write down the lyrics that you wanna work with in a white sheet and fill it with black.

Next, rip pieces off you old magazine, (I think it'll look really cool with newspaper too, gotta try that one!) and cover ANOTHER white sheet with the pieces. Yes, I could have used the word "COLLAGE". But, that's just my way. :P

Don't worry about the uneven corners. I like them that way, if you in case suffer from OCD then, you are most welcome to trim the corners off and make a perfect rectangle.

Using a pencil, mark the outline of the words you wrote. Make sure to seperate EACH WORD and not go alphabet-wise and also, leave out considerable amount of white space from the border because we'll have a colorful background, we need our writing to POP OUT and only black letters won't do that.

I always find it easier to cut out the word roughly and then, start with the complicated cutting parts.

When you are done, you end up with words that look like this. :P

Then, just stick them one to the collage background and Ta-da!!

Let me know if you liked this DIY and also share with me if in case you have so other DIYs that you'd like me to do.

xoxo
